Karl Jägerrapporten
SS-Standartenführer Karl Jäger var chef för Einsatzkommando 3 (Insatskommando, en del av en insatsgrupp) och opererade i Litauen. Hela Einsatzgruppe A följde armégrupp Nord som besatte de baltiska staterna samt delar av Vitryssland. Medan anda Einsatzkommandos härjade i Lettland, Estland och Vitryssland så förblev Jäger och hans mordförband kvar i Litauen, något som skulle kosta hundratusentals liv. Karl Jägerrapporten är intressant i många hänseenden, det är en av få detaljerade rapporter som skickades till RSHA i Berlin. Generellt upprättades så kallade Einsatzgruppen Berichten, Insatsgrupprapporter som beskrev det militära läget och insatsgruppernas blodiga aktioner i öst. Karl Jägers rapport är en extra skrivelse som han (Jäger) skrev i december 1941 efter nästan sex månaders insatser mot Litauens judiska befolkning. Få rapporter likt denna är så detaljerad avseende platser, antal offer och under vilka datum morden skedde. På totalt sex sidor skriver Jäger ner vad han och hans insatskommando uträttat, listan som återfinns här nedan i sin helhet ger den skrämmande sanningen bakom Hitlers och Himmlers vanvettiga raspolitik. Över 130 000 oskyldiga människor, män, kvinnor och barn mördades av Einsatzkommando 3 eller EK 3 som det vanligtvis brukar förkortas.
Listan är tyvärr på engelska men jag hoppas att detta går bra ändå. Något som gått förlorad i översättningen är just angående barnen, på engelska blir det Jewish children eller J.Children. I Jägers originalrapport på tyska omskriva dessa som "Judebarn" (Judenkinder), ett tämligen smaklöst begrepp på ett barn.
En sak som är ganska intressant, Jäger har tagit med ca 4 000 offer som mördades i de omfattande pogromerna, anstiftade av den litauiska civilbefolkningen. Detta skedde innan EK 3 hade tagit kontroll över området men man tillskriver sig dessa offer ändå. Tiden innan Jäger och hans mordförband anlände präglades mycket av just dessa pogromer, något som naturligtvis uppmuntrades av tyskarna. Kaunas judiska befolkning och såkallade partisaner (Ett ytterst luddigt begrepp) gick en fruktansvärd död till mötes. När tyskarna anlände kom nästa mardröm, Karl Jäger.

Today I can confirm that our objective, to solve the Jewish problem for Lithuania, has been achieved by EK 3. In Lithuania there are no more Jews, apart from Jewish workers and their families.

I consider the Jewish action more or less terminated as far as Einsatzkommando 3 is concerned. Those working Jews and Jewesses still available are needed urgently and I can envisage that after the winter this workforce will be required even moe urgently. I am of the view that the strelization programme of the male worker Jews should be started immediately so that reproduction is prevented. If despite sterlization a Jewess becomes pregnant she will be liquidated.

Fråga:
Finns det nÃ¥gra uppgifter om en av de drivande bakom pogromerna i Kaunas. Han lär ha gÃ¥tt under namnet “DrÃ¥paren frÃ¥n Kaunas” och finns pÃ¥ bild i boken “Nazismen”. Han lär ha använt ett järnspett för att slÃ¥ ihjäl försvarslösa människor. Finns det uppgifter om han nÃ¥gonsin ställdes inför rätta, eller om rättvisan pÃ¥ annat sätt kom ifatt detta monstrum.
Initialt svar: Jag måste kolla upp detta, har det dessvärre inte i huvudet. Det finns en mycket bra bok i ämnet som heter Kaddish for Kovno. Måste uppdatera mig själv eftersom det är flera år sedan jag läste den. Återkommer.
